WHAT'S NEW IN THE MASTER'S WORLD

Masters at the "Top of the World"


Athletes (L to R) are Anthony Lordi (Switzerland), Manfred Muhlenhaus (Germany) and Sveinung Tangstad (Norway) 
pictured at the very northern tip of Norway, about 45 min away from the Snefjord Highland games, above the 71st 
degree latitude, well above the arctic circle. Anthony reports that he did get Sveinung's monster 415lb stone lifted and 
carried a whopping 10 feet but Geir Standal (Norway, not pictured) got over 30 feet.

Hall of Fame

Angus Billy presents Joy Butler with the Hall of Fame plaque
for her late husband, "Wild Bill" Butler, at the Sacramento
Valley Games in Woodland, CA, on Saturday, April 28, 2007.

Wild Bill died on December 26 of a heart attack.

Bill was instrumental in developing athletics at games all over northern 
California.  He was very active in the Sacramento Caledonia Club.
He was also an outstanding athlete who was instrumental in starting
the Masters World Championships and competed in the MWC multiple

This web site will no longer post results because almost all of the results which I get are already posted on nasga.  I will depend upon the ADs and athletes to post to nasga where you can see the results.  I will continue to enter results into the virtual game and produce a year-end ranking.  Sorry for the inconvenience of having to visit two sites but this will save me many hours of computer time.
